The Romeo and Juliet code

I finished the Romeo and Juliet code recently. It was one of my favorite books. This book takes place during World War 2. An eleven year old girl named Felicity lives in London with her mom Winnie and her dad Danny, but because there are so many bombs going on in London Felicity has to go to Maine to stay with her grandma and her dad's brother. I love this book cause I couldn't put it down, there wasn't one boring part in the book. I think that a lot of people will like this book because there was a lot of conflicts going on and you want to know how the characters will solve them. The ending of this book was really shocking. I haven't read any other books by Phoebe Stone, but she has another book called Deep Down Popular. When I was at the book fair last year I saw this book and the back caught my attention. I think that a lot of people will like this book!

  1. Katrina,
This book looks so interesting. Hearing that it caught your eye and you could not put it down makes me want to read it. I have never read a Phoebe Stone book but I might want to try because, it sounds so good.

  3. Katrina,

I think the Romeo & Juliet Code sounds like a really good book. I love reading books that are from the past. It sounds like you really liked this book and couldn't put it down. I really wonder what it would be like to be a girl living during the war. When I am done with my book, I think I will try to read this one.

  4. Katrina,
This book sounds intriguing. When you said there was not one boring part, I knew that it was definitely the book for me. Hopefully, I will be able to read it after I am finished reading the book I am currently reading.

  6. Katrina-
This book looks great! It seems exactly like the kind of book I would love. It's awesome that it is set during world war two and about a girl that's eleven because there are not a lot of books like that!

  7. I really like historical fiction, and this sounds like JUST the kind of book that I would like. If you DO like books about strong and interesting girls that are set in history, you might like The Ruby in the Smoke by Phillip Pullman. I really loved these books (it's actually a series).

So you have told me just enough about The Romeo and Juliet Code to intrigue me, and the name makes me thing there is a romance, but then the main character is 11, so I really have a ton of questions about this book. Maybe I will just have to read it! Thanks for the great recommendation!
